Plutora Earns Top Three Vendor for Release Management in EMA DevOps 2020 Research

Garnering an overall score of 95, which indicates excellence across product penetration, feature effectiveness and satisfaction, Plutora joined IBM and Microsoft to round out the top three

Santa Clara, Calif. – July 31, 2018 – Plutora, a leading provider of continuous delivery management for enterprise IT, today announced that it has been recognized as one of the top three vendors in the DevOps release management market based on the results of the Enterprise Management Associates (EMA) DevOps 2020 survey.

The aim of the DevOps 2020 survey was to establish an understanding around the current state of DevOps, recognize buying behaviors over the next two years, reveal DevOps maturity and strategy, and provide analyst-guided competitive vendor analysis.

Plutora was evaluated on nine criteria to establish its place in the top three. The criteria included segment penetration, product design, architecture and scalability, ease of integration, interoperability and deployment, cost, support, services and reputation, and overall product satisfaction. The Plutora Continuous Delivery Management Platform’s overall score was 95, which is indicative of an exceptional product that has consistently high component scores, including:

  • A product penetration score of 95, indicating Plutora’s effectiveness at delivering its message into the market

  • A feature score of 90, which reflects solid scores across the seven product capability categories

  • An overall satisfaction score of 84, enabling Plutora to work with customers to identify key areas to evolve the product

The survey looked at 20 DevOps markets, with a deep dive into eight of them in an effort to understand the primary solutions being used, the effectiveness of each and the customer satisfaction. DevOps release management was one of the eight markets EMA explored in depth. The overall results revealed that while continuous integration, continuous delivery and application release automation are tactical focus points, release management is the second-highest growth market across all segments in the DevOps pipeline.

“We have reached a point where the majority of enterprises have embraced agile techniques, but many are still struggling to put together a mature, comprehensive DevOps solution to drive results,” said Stephen Hendrick, research director for application development and management, EMA. “Based on the feedback we received from over 400 respondents, vendors such as Plutora are providing many organizations with a single source of truth for their DevOps projects. Additionally, for a vendor that is significantly smaller than its companions in the top three, the high scores that Plutora received on feature effectiveness and customer satisfaction demonstrate that it is a leader in the enterprise release management market.”

“In individual conversations with customers we continue to hear stories about how Plutora enables them to ensure their development strategy aligns with the overall goals of the business but receiving the same feedback about our platform from those surveyed by EMA really reinforces this sentiment,” said Bob Davis, CMO, Plutora. “As businesses continue to push through digital transformation journeys and strive to become software-driven companies, Plutora is proving to be a key component. It can improve speed and quality, provide coordination and visibility, and gather metrics at every step of the release process to communicate ROI and guide improvement through unique measurements.”
